I. Calculating Individual Stellar Ages of RGB Stars in the Large Magellanic Cloud<\/a>&#8221; ha sido recientemente aceptado, marcando un avance significativo en la comprensi\u00f3n de la qu\u00edmica gal\u00e1ctica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este trabajo es el primero de una serie de tres que exploran la qu\u00edmica de las Nubes de Magallanes y se centra en derivar edades para estrellas individuales de la rama gigante roja (RGB) en la Gran Nube de Magallanes (LMC). Seg\u00fan Joshua Povick, autor del art\u00edculo, \u201cdesarrollamos un nuevo c\u00f3digo para calcular edades estelares individuales utilizando par\u00e1metros espectrosc\u00f3picos del Estudio APOGEE junto con fotometr\u00eda multibanda de los estudios Gaia y 2MASS\u201d. Este enfoque innovador ha permitido \u201cencontrar edades para m\u00e1s de 6000 estrellas RGB\u201d, lo que representa un avance considerable en la metodolog\u00eda utilizada en astrof\u00edsica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre los hallazgos m\u00e1s destacados del estudio, Povick menciona que se ha identificado un \u201cgradiente de edad positivo donde las estrellas son t\u00edpicamente m\u00e1s antiguas cuanto m\u00e1s lejos del centro de la LMC se encuentran\u201d. Adem\u00e1s, se\u00f1ala que \u201ca una distancia de aproximadamente 2 kpc del centro, las estrellas del norte son t\u00edpicamente m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes que las estrellas del sur a los mismos radios\u201d, un fen\u00f3meno que \u201cprobablemente est\u00e1 relacionado con la creaci\u00f3n de una caracter\u00edstica de brazo espiral en el norte debido a una interacci\u00f3n cercana con la Peque\u00f1a Nube de Magallanes\u201d. Nidever, Pol Massana, y Jamie Tayar, quienes han contribuido con su experiencia en diferentes aspectos del estudio\u201d. Aunque este art\u00edculo no est\u00e1 directamente vinculado al N\u00facleo Milenio ERIS, el autor explica que \u201cmuchas de las metodolog\u00edas desarrolladas han sido importantes para derivar edades de estrellas en m\u00faltiples proyectos de ERIS\u201d, lo que demuestra la interconexi\u00f3n entre los proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Actualmente, Povick trabaja en un proyecto adicional que busca \u201cdeterminar la variaci\u00f3n azimutal de las abundancias en la LMC\u201d.
