Este trabajo se deriva de su investigaci\u00f3n doctoral en Tokio y tiene implicaciones directas en los proyectos actuales de ERIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El paper presenta un an\u00e1lisis de bandas infrarrojas (Y y J) en estrellas variables Cefeidas. Estas estrellas son conocidas por sus cambios peri\u00f3dicos en tama\u00f1o y luminosidad, lo que las hace \u00fatiles para la escala de distancias gal\u00e1ctica y extragal\u00e1ctica. Adem\u00e1s, sus espectros muestran una variedad de elementos qu\u00edmicos en sus l\u00edneas de absorci\u00f3n. Scarlet Sandoval, autora de la investigaci\u00f3n explica que &#8220;la probabilidad de que un electr\u00f3n de un \u00e1tomo o ion absorba un fot\u00f3n de una longitud de onda en particular y experimente una &#8216;transici\u00f3n&#8217; de un estado de energ\u00eda m\u00e1s bajo a uno m\u00e1s alto&#8221; se cuantifica mediante la fuerza del oscilador, conocida como &#8220;oscillator strengths&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para caracterizar una l\u00ednea de absorci\u00f3n, es esencial conocer cantidades at\u00f3micas como el oscilador, el potencial de excitaci\u00f3n y los coeficientes de van der Waals. Estos datos, generalmente obtenidos te\u00f3ricamente por la mec\u00e1nica cu\u00e1ntica y verificados en laboratorios, se prueban en observaciones reales de estrellas. S. Elgueta se\u00f1ala que &#8220;el estudio de los elementos qu\u00edmicos y mol\u00e9culas presentes en las estrellas se ha hecho mayoritariamente en bandas \u00f3pticas, pero pocas veces en bandas infrarrojas&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Utilizando el espectr\u00f3grafo WINERED, Sandoval explor\u00f3 las bandas del infrarrojo cercano (Y-J) y descubri\u00f3 una abundancia de elementos y mol\u00e9culas poco estudiadas. Este trabajo result\u00f3 en la creaci\u00f3n de un atlas de l\u00edneas y constantes at\u00f3micas calibradas para objetos en reg\u00edmenes m\u00e1s calientes, como las Cefeidas cl\u00e1sicas. La informaci\u00f3n obtenida ayuda a entender fen\u00f3menos de la arqueolog\u00eda gal\u00e1ctica, como el gradiente de metalicidad de la V\u00eda L\u00e1ctea y la producci\u00f3n de elementos pesados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este paper tambi\u00e9n es fundamental para el proyecto actual de S. Elgueta en ERIS, en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Dra. Paula Jofr\u00e9 y la Dra. Ulrike Heiter. En este proyecto, se caracteriza la muestra de Gaia Benchmark Stars observadas en todo el infrarrojo con el espectr\u00f3grafo CRIRES+.
